There are both big decisions and little details to attend to as you prepare for your upcoming catered event. Let Carved + Crafted by Chartwells guide you, from designing the perfect menu to personalizing all the details of your event. Our catering services can accommodate any size, theme, or individual requirements, in virtually any location on campus.

We’ll work with you to create a custom menu inspired by your unique needs that will leave a lasting impression on your guests. All menus will follow the Chartwells culinary philosophy; authentic recipes using the freshest, seasonal ingredients.

Waiter service, buffet, small plates and international inspired specialty stations: all served in your style! And because you’ve entrusted your event to Carved + Crafted by Chartwells, the food will be unmatched, the service spectacular, and the event will be unforgettable!

Policies & Procedures
To ensure optimal selection and the best possible service we kindly ask that events be booked at least seven business days in advance. We understand events arise unexpectedly and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Events planned with less than 4 business days' notice will be assessed a 10% rush order fee.

To ensure compliance with local health regulations no food is to be removed by the guest from the event.

Policy Statement:
For the health and safety of all staff, guests, and event participants, leftover food from catered events must not be removed from the premises or taken home by any employee, contractor, or guest. Taking leftover food violates local and state health codes regarding food storage, handling, and temperature control. Once food has been served and exposed to room temperature, it may become unsafe for later consumption and poses a risk of foodborne illness.

Guest Counts
We kindly request a confirmed number of guests be specified 3 business days prior to the event. This number is considered the guaranteed guest count.
 
Event Time
Events are billed in four-hour increments. Events exceeding the four-hour limit will be subject to additional service fees. Limit will be subject to additional service fees.
 
Cancellation
We kindly request that cancellations must be made five business days prior to the contracted event date. Cancellations with less than five days may incur charges for product in process.Custom Orders
If you would like to place a custom order. Please send an email to start the process of creating a menu. 

Serviceware and China
Disposable Serviceware will be furnished as accompaniment to all items purchased. Some exceptions apply to orders being picked up. We provide bio-degradable and compostable Serviceware's with all orders outside of the College Center. China and glassware are available outside of the College Center for an additional charge of $2.29 per person.
Bar Service $75 fee Includes the required paperwork to apply for the necessary SLA permit as per New York State Law and a Bartender. Application does not guarantee SLA approval. Application fee non-refundable. 30 days minimum notice to complete. One permit per bar service setup at event. (Price for Liquor, Beer & Wine will be added separate) 

Linen
Tablecloths are provided for all food and beverage service tables at events. Tablecloths for non-food tables are available for an additional $7.99 (85”x 85”) 

Tax Exempt
We require a copy your tax-exempt form exempt form be e-mailed to our office a minimum of 3 days prior to the event.
 
Outside/Non D’Youville Guests 
Require 50% down payment to hold and book your event. Remaining payment is due the day of the event. The physical debit/credit card must be available. Checks may be made payable to Chartwells Dining Services and mailed to Chartwells Catering, 329 Porter Avenue, Buffalo NY 14201
 
Billing and Payment
To place your order, we will need the appropriate department code to be charged and the room reservation work order confirmation number for your room reservation and set up.

Delivery Fee
We require a minimum order of $75 to deliver and set up your event. Pickup orders have no Delivery Charge.
